Mina flickor
London tiden var fylld av konst, mode och musik. Jag älskar musiken har alltid gjort.
Lärde mig teckna på slutet av 60-talet. Adapterade långt senare stilen från modet och uttrycken från konsten. Det psykedeliska uttrycket låg mig varmt om hjärtat.
Men framför allt det musikerna sjöng om. Deras kärlekssånger till alla sina tjejer. Det blev utgångsläget för det som skulle komma att gestaltas i akryl långt senare efter jag kommit hem till Sverige.
Tecknade kroki under några år här hemma. Började göra akrylmålningar. Där blev det massor av kvinnobilder. De blev liggandes.
Utan förvarning kom melodierna tillsammans med texterna tillbaka och jag kunde förstå att det var det jag skulle göra. Sätta namn på alla flickor som bara väntade på att få bli sedda /gestaltade.
Fick iden att klippa ut dem och göra collage. Hade inte riktigt klart för mig hur landskapet som de skulle integreras i. Det blev tusch landskap och på den vägen är det.

My girls

My time in London was filled with art, fashion and music. Music runs through my viens from my childhood.
I learnd how to draw in the end of the 60-ties.I adapted the expressions of fashion and art. Specially the psycedelic versions of art.
Most of all I listened to what the musicians sang about. Their lovesongs to all their girls. That became the initial position for the figures to come alive, much later when I got back to Sweden.
I toock drawing lessons ,kroki, for a few years at home. As I started to do acryllic paintings. Lots of female pictures dressed in lots of colours. They where stalled in my closet.
The melodise /texts came back. I gave the acryillic girls a name that represented songs from 60 -ties. I could do one after another gave them the names they whrere ment to have.
The idea of cutting them out of the acryllc landscapes gave them a modern touch. I Gave them a drawn touch landscape instead.
